(set of 10)

Recipe

  • 2 oz. citrus vodka

  • ¾ oz. orange liqueur

  • ½ oz. lime juice

  • ½ oz. cranberry juice (unsweetened)

  • ½ oz. simple syrup

Preparation

  • Shake ingredients with ice

  • Strain into martini glass

  • Garnish with lime wheel or lemon twist

Other origin stories:

  • Dale DeGroff was credited by New York magazine as having invented it after serving at the Rainbow Room in 1996.²

  • John Caine popularized the Cosmopolitan in San Francisco in the 1980s and claims he got the recipe from the Cleveland restaurant, the Rusty Scupper.³

  • Cheryl Cook is also credited with creating at her South Beach, Miami bar The Strand in the early 1980s.⁴
