Recipe

  • 1 ½ oz. cognac

  • 1 oz. orange liqueur

  • ¾ oz. lemon juice

Preparation

  • Shake ingredients with ice

  • Strain into chilled coupe glass

  • Express orange peel over drink and rub on rim

It is speculated that the drink was invented by American army captain stationed in Paris during World War I who frequently rode in motorcycle sidecars during the war.² ³
